There is only one way that US officials are allowed to discuss Israel and that is that whatever they want to do is just fine and dandy. Any deviation from the script sent out by Israel's far right lobby will immediately get a person labeled as a Jew-hater on the level of Hitler or Mel Gibson and they'll have to publicly apologize and take a class about how the holocaust and go into rehab if they ever expect to work in Washington again. There's no other single issue in the world that is locked down from any serious debate like Israel. Such a democratic way to discuss the "only democracy in the middle east!" It’s no surprise to me.
